About Mandy Hassall

As a nurse I have specialised for more than 30 years in neurology; I have worked on a Regional Neurological High Dependency Unit. I have also been the Clinical Care Manager of a large dual registered home, Clinical Standards Manager of a national charity and for the past 4+ years the Director of Services of a national brain injury charity.

As Director, I was instrumental in setting up an 'Approved Provider' scheme which was set up to recognise care providers who placed the needs of people with an acquired brain injury and their carer's central to their service provision. Dovetailing with the national standards the scheme rightly focused on the needs of the resident.

Throughout my career I have, I believe delivered good, quality care, support and information.

Since developing Multiple Sclerosis I have become increasingly aware of the importance in the belief that you should 'treat others as you would want to be treated yourself'.

I now want to put all my personal and professional experience - to good use.
